Astraea - earrings
The Astraea earrings got their inspiration from the the Greek goddess of justice and the stars, Astraea. The legend says that she used to live among people on earth but became so sad about the humanitys increasing cruelty so she left earth and turned into the star constellation of the Virgo. But before she did that, her tears fell to the ground and a beautiful flower grew where the tears landed. The flower was an Aster and the word Aster comes from the Greek word for star.
The earrings are made from materials sourced from Greece. Faceted ceramic beads form a lilac flower and within the flower we find a coin with an ancient greek profile. The golden ear studs also bear the form of flowers.
