Why jewellery?
Jewelry has the ability to make us feel beautiful, strong and valuable. It can tell a story or act as a memory that ties us to a specific time or person. Some jewelry has served as talismans, as good luck charms or protectors, or as reminders that we are loved and important.
We have adorned ourselves since time immemorial. And jewelry is still a popular way to express our unique personalities, bring out the parts of us that we want to highlight and communicate who we are without saying a word.
Colors also affect us more than we think. Scientific studies show that colors can calm us down, make us happy, give us energy and help us focus. In other words, we can influence our well-being with color!
That's why Studio Minerva jewelry focuses on colorful maximalism! We curate and create collections full of stories, symbolism, color and meaning. With the hope that each piece of jewelry will become a small treasure for you to own and cherish.
OUR HISTORY
Studio Minerva started in 2023 as a celebration of color and all things beautiful.
Our founder, Salla Vartiainen, a Swedish-Finnish artist, wanted to bring with her, all the colorful jewellery she encountered during her artist year in Barcelona.
In Scandinavia, minimalism was still reigning and it was impossible to find any happy, colorful jewellery here. So Studio Minerva actually started with small batches of fun jewellery found on her travels.
Where is the jewellery from?
Our jewelry comes from different countries. We buy jewelry on trips, at fairs and from jewelry factories online. The jewelry in the store has come from China, Italy, Spain, France and Turkey. Some are created by local craftsmen who made the jewelry by hand in their workshops while others are created by hand in larger jewelry factories that make larger editions.
A small part is produced by hand here in Sweden. This jewelry is usually only available in a few copies, which makes them unique and unusual.
Materials
Most of our jewellery have a base of durable alloys like brass and stainless steel. The pieces are then plated with gold, rose gold or silver.
Our stones range from natural stones such as turquoises and amethysts to crystal glass and cubic zirconia.
Some of our jewellery contain recycled materials like sea glass, hand made glass beads from Ghana and recycled parts from old jewellery.

ENVIRONMENT
The environment is everyone's responsibility and that includes us. Our goal is to figure out the best, durable materials that will stay beautiful for a long time. We also work on trying to find the best ways to produce and ship our jewellery.
In our small editions handmade here in Sweden, we often try to use parts of old jewellery so that they can have a prolonged lifetime.

1. We do not mass produce – we curate and collect
Each piece of jewellery in our collections has been carefully chosen with the goal to build new, colorful and interesting jewellery collections for you guys.
2. Our jewellery is not "just jewellery"
Our collections are made up by jewellery filled with stories, symbolism, color and meaning. And we hope that each piece will find their right owner!
The goal is to find the perfect jewellery for your unique personality - so that it will become your long time companion. A companion embedded with the power to make you feel happy, strong and beautiful!
3. Greater chance for you to be unique
The chances of someone else wearing the exact same jewellery as you becomes small, since we only take in small batches of each jewellery piece.
And the fact that the jewellery originates from different countries limits the chances even further.
4. Small business, personal service!
We are a small business which means that we do everything our selves.
This means that your order is packed by us with love! This also means that you can easily reach us if you have questions or complaints. We also welcome suggestions for improvement, since we know we are far from perfect.
