A collection of large earrings that don't weigh so much

If you are a lover of big earrings you probably have experienced the tragedy of coming across a STUNNING pair, only to discover that they are weighing way too much..

Compromising comfort for the benefit of being fabulous is totally ok occasionally, but sometimes you just need light comfortable alternatives that give you that chic-ness in your day-to-day life.

A big factor here is the materials the earrings are made of. 

Light weight resin earrings

Some of our light weight earrings that weigh under 15g per pair are made from resins. A durable material which at the same time is very light. 

Like the Medusa earrings which combine resin and gold plated brass in their elegant design. 

Or the Poetic Pearls earrings whose design features a row of beautiful faux baroque pearls and where the material makes the earrings much much lighter than if it was made of real baroque pearls. 

The Marble earrings are also a good example of how resin lets you wear more volume without weighing your earlobes down. These cutesies are 6.5cm long and weigh only 5g each.

Metallic earrings but make them light

Metals can also be used to create designs that bring volume and sculpture, while being comfortable to wear. It all depends on how the design handles the metal. Like our Cielo Estrellado earrings which feature shooting stars in a starry sky. The minuscule chains create volume and movement while staying light.

You can even wear sparkling rhinestones as long as they are not too large and are intelligently embedded into the design. Our Violet earrings are long and very sparkly with a metallic base, which makes them very durable, feminine and easy to wear

Even fully metallic designs like our Hands earrings can be light. These whimsical earrings are made of gold plated brass. The Turkish artisans that made them, have a very long craft tradition and are experts in creating beautiful big designs that are comfortable to wear

Earrings with natural materials

If you want to go for natural materials like stones, pearls, ambers and bone the design is the key if you want them to weigh less. Our Artemis earrings are made of freshwater pearls, so to counteract the pearls natural weight the pearls are held in place by goldplate brass wires, which makes the design both very light and delicate.
