Did you know that with the right care and storage you can significantly prolong the life of your costume jewellery?

Unlike fine jewellery made of gold and silver, fashion jewellery is often made with plated metals, semi-precious stones, enamel or glass. This makes the jewellery equally beautiful but more affordable, especially if you take care of your costume jewellery and treat it right.

Many things can cause jewellery to tarnish such as soap, lotions, make up, air, moist and oil from the skin. Scratches can also appear with heavy use and make stones dull.

Some of these things, like air, are outside of our control. But by doing what we can, with the things we Can affect we can keep our jewellery shining for a long time.

How to care for your precious?

1. Keep it clean

Try to avoid getting your jewellery in contact with detergents, soaps, lotions, creams, makeup, perfumes and sweat. Some of these things contain chemicals or other active ingredients that can tarnish your jewellery.

2. Clean yor jewellery the right way

To clean your jewellery rub them gently with a soft cloth. Do not use water or soap or any chemical products, these can make your jewellery tarnish.

3. Store them correctly

When you are not wearing your jewellery keep them in a dry place and out of direct sunlight. If your jewellery gets wet, dry it gently with a soft cloth.

To avoid scratching your jewellery pieces, store them all separately.
